Google valve with new electric actuator

Problem:
The google valve was a part of an order for the supply of all shut –off and modulation dampers required for the blast furnace gas fired boiler unit 4 of the Mittelsbühren powerstation. The product should be gastight and the Customer seeked to lower the maintenance requirements of equipment without creating additional risk in the plant operation.
Solution:
We supplied the google valve with gas tight casing. Moreover, per Customer’s request, we utilized a new developed type of electric actuator. Therefore, the retractable sealing frame and the blind and hollow disc are driven electrically.
Results:
The shut – off is comparable to that of a blind flange connection in terms of the UVV regulations. The valve has been DVGW approved. Usage of the new type of electric actuator lowered the maintenance costs of the valve.
