Diverter damper with lattice structure

Problem:
There was a need for delivery of all flue gas dampers required for the combined cycle power station of DEGUSSA AG. Parts of the equipment should be resistant to very high, as well as considerably fluctuating thermal loads.
Solution:
Among our supply we included a diverter damper with internal insulation. Moreover, we equipped it with the first in this kind of project lattice structure reinforced damper blade.
Results:
The lattice supported blade remained distortionless while subjected to very rapid temperature rises. The used design also results in a lowered weight of the blade. This means we successfully helped to lower the costs of operating the diverter damper.
